Dalcan is privately owned and operated whose senior ownership all have in excess of 30 years of experience. The firm has product specialties locally in office and land as well as multi-family, retail and industrial through it’s Canadian affiliation with Canderel Coroporation. We work with our clients and partners to develop long term relationships and repetitive business opportunities. A diversified operating company, Dalcan is active in the real estate service, development and investment businesses. The firm creates value through it’s experienced approach to market intelligence and, focused service delivered by senior owners and managers who see things through the eyes of an Owner. We measure our success in terms of both performance and client satisfaction. This approach has created an environment of client retention and strong relationships. Company HistoryDalcan was founded as a Dallas based company in 1996, with an affiliation with Canderel Corporation of Montreal, by Ron Cherry and Jonathan Wener. In 1997, Dalcan partnered with Canderel and Caisse de Depot, both of Montreal, to acquire the 1.8 million s.f. portfolio of office buildings located in Texas and Louisiana. Dalcan managed, leased and sold the buildings delivering substantial returns. In 1998, the partnership acquired the Centre Office Park, an 11 bulding, 900,000 s.f., office park in North Dallas. Dalcan managed, leased that asset until 2009 when it re-zoned the property and prepared it for re-development to meet the changing local market demands. In 2000, Dalcan acquired 440 acres of land on Richland-Chambers reservoir one hour south of Dallas and developed a high quality gated residential community on the southern shore of the lake, where it continues to develop lots and build houses in this premier recreational and retirement community. In 2007, Dalcan and Canderel acquired more than 3,600 acres of land near Austin, Texas along the newly constructed S.H. 130, a tollway that links north Austin with north San Antonio. This mixed use project, located in the center of the Texas Triangle, one of the most rapidly developing population centers in the United States, has been described by the Austin Chamber of Commerce as one of Texas most outstanding “Mega” sites in the state. Dalcan, acting as Managing Partner landplanned, entitled and, created a Municipal Water District (MUD) while the tollway construction was underway. This mixed use site continues to be managed and marketed by Dalcan. |
